Was ist tackroom? 

Eine webapp, die ich selbst entwickelt habe und betreue und die mir hilft, künftige Events besser und leichter zu managen.

Warum überhaupt eine App?

tackroom ist die viel bessere und datenschutztechnisch sicherere  Alternative zu bisherigen chaotischen Spreadsheets wie Google und andere Plattformen. Die neue App löst auch die alte Filemaker-basierte Anwendung vom letzten Jahr (2024) ab, da die Lizenzen dort teuer sind und Filemaker proprietär ist.

Welchen Nutzer hat tackroom für mich?

Du kannst dich registrieren und anschl. sehen, welche Events es gibt über das Jahr. Du kannst dich für jedes öffentliche Event an- und abmelden wie du magst. Du kannst Daten über dich preisgeben oder es auch lassen. Eine mindestanforderung von mir ist, daß ich als Gastgeber wenigstens ein bisschen weiß, wer du bist. Daher ist Angabe von Nickname, Emailadresse (für Kommunikation) und mind. eine Social Media Plattform Pflicht um auf die Gästeliste zu kommen.

What is tackroom?

A web app I developed and maintain myself – it helps me manage upcoming events more easily and efficiently.

Why an app in the first place?

tackroom is a much better and more privacy-conscious alternative to the chaotic spreadsheets we’ve been using – like Google Sheets or other platforms. The new app also replaces the old FileMaker-based tool from last year (2024), since FileMaker licenses are expensive and the platform itself is proprietary.

What’s the benefit of tackroom for me?

You can register and then view which events are happening throughout the year. You’re free to sign up or unregister for any public event as you like. You can share personal info about yourself – or not.
My one basic requirement as host is that I at least know a little bit about who you are. So to get on the guest list, you’ll need to provide:
– a nickname
– an email address (for communication)
– and at least one social media profile
